about "Cezár" |
I've always said if I ever imported a dog, it would have to
be an extraordinarily good one...
There is such a romanticism to "imported" dogs. So many
people seem to believe they are better just because they
are imported.
Most European breeders do not send their best dogs to
the US. Cezár's
circumstances were unusual, and his photos "spoke to
me." It was one of those rare gut feelings, and my
intuition does not usually lead me wrong.
Getting Cezár here was quite
an ordeal! Plans had to be made, and then changed,
and then made again. It was such a relief to finally
have him land at the airport in St. Louis.
I can thank Mary Casella
and Agi Hejja for also
seeing in Cezár what I saw,
and thanks for their help in bringing him to the USA!
